West Monroe Capital accesses investment opportunities through West Monroe’s Mergers & Acquisitions team and its transaction advisory engagements. West Monroe Capital aligns West Monroe’s interests with private equity clients by investing in select businesses where West Monroe will be able to drive value post-investment. West Monroe Capital has made over 25 co-investments to date, investing across a broad range of industries aligned to the West Monroe's areas of expertise.

Brian Jacobsen

Managing Partner, West Monroe Capital



Brian is the Managing Partner of West Monroe Capital. Brian has led a fruitful career in private equity, business management, and performance improvement, spanning industries from technology to consumer and retail. He is passionate about finding opportunities to stimulate business growth and steadily increase value. When not working, Brian spends his time away from work chasing his four young children and is quickly adding experienced youth sports coach to his résumé.


Prior to joining West Monroe Capital, Brian was a longtime private equity client of West Monroe while serving as Managing Partner of Grand Crossing Capital LLC, a family-backed private equity firm, and as a Partner at TowerBrook Capital Partners LP. Earlier in his career, Brian was co-founder and CEO of CombineNet, Inc., a sourcing and supply chain software company (sold to SciQuest) and CFO & Director of Retail Operations of Truefitt & Hill, an upscale men’s shaving and grooming products company. Brian began his career at Goldman Sachs and Madison Dearborn Partners.


Brian makes an impact by staying on as a trusted advisor to many organizations and has been, or continues to be, involved in numerous consumer and business services brands. Brian has a B.S. from the University of Illinois and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Chris Darragh

Vice President, West Monroe Capital



Chris is Vice President of West Monroe Capital. With a lifelong passion for finance, Chris has spent his career understanding, managing, and optimizing complex investments. He is also a father to three young boys and enjoys playing soccer with them during the Chicago summers.


Prior to joining West Monroe Capital in 2017, Chris invested in private equity strategies on behalf of endowment and pension clients as a member of Aon Hewitt’s Outsourced Chief Investment Officer group. At Aon Hewitt, Chris also led an initiative to build a fund of funds platform, which allowed the firm to better serve small and medium-sized clients. Earlier in his career, Chris spent eight years at Guggenheim Partners co-investing in private equity and other alternative asset strategies on behalf of two large family office clients. Chris began his career at LaSalle Bank.


Chris makes an impact at West Monroe Capital by finding opportunities where our additional investment and expertise can drive value—strengthening relationships with our private equity clients and the sector. Chris has a B.A. in Economics from the University of Wisconsin and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Julie Prizer

Investor Relations and Fundraising Manager, West Monroe Capital



Julie Prizer is the Investor Relations and Fundraising Manager at West Monroe Capital, bringing valuable private equity consulting experience to her role. Before joining the West Monroe Capital team, she served as a consultant in the Mergers and Acquisitions and Operations Excellence teams at West Monroe. Julie began her career as an analyst in the retail industry at Saks Fifth Avenue. She holds a B.S. in Business from Lehigh University.

Nic Weishar

Senior Analyst, West Monroe Capital



Nic Weishar is a Senior Analyst at West Monroe Capital with a strong background in fund operations and investment. He co-founded and served as Head of Finance for a 15-person technology startup, overseeing all financial and accounting tasks. Prior to that, Nic worked as a financial analyst at Kraft Heinz on the revenue management team. He holds an M.S. in Finance from the Mendoza School of Business and a B.S. in Finance from the University of Notre Dame, where he also played and captained the football team.
